Austrian astronomer Dr. Ruth Grützbauch travels across the country with her mobile planetarium - in a 15 m² star tent with a small fan, which she transports on her "Cosmobike". The 35 kg equipment fits into a used cargo bike - for Ruth a clear statement against the dominance of car traffic:
With her guided trips into space, Ruth brings the cosmos to schools, museums, street parties and private celebrations. She ensures astonished faces and a "horizon-expanding wow experience" that combines science with positive emotions.
Sharing knowledge with stardust: School performances supported by texlock
The parallels between Ruth's mission and our vision inspired us to combine the donation purpose of the stardust edition with her project. Since the beginning of the texlock Special Editions, 1% of the proceeds have gone to a good cause - 2025 directly to the fascination of outer space.
In the autumn, we are enabling four school performances of Ruth in Leipzig and transforming a classroom for a moment into a dwarf galaxy - Ruth's specialty. Do you live in Leipzig and know the ideal school for such a performance? Then send us your suggestion to [email protected]!
